Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) officially launched their five-year business plan for the next five years, outlining visionary goals and initiatives to elevate the club’s presence both on and off the pitch.

This happened yesturday, Thursday, January 18, 2014 at URA Headquarters in Nakawa.

The plan is based on a BSC strategy with four perspectives (financial, stakeholder management, learning and growth and internal processes) and aims to balance all perspectives to achieve sporting success and ultimately foster more tax revenue generation.

While appearing in the live Tax-Lounge-Show powered by URA TV, Club CEO Allan Munaaba further broke down this plan.

“URA FC mainly focuses on increasing revenue trajectory by promoting it through sports, e.g. Mpa-Ereceipt Yange campaign,” said Munaaba.

He went ahead to throw more light on how the club is an equal opportunities employer to different people, just like the mother body, URA.

“URA FC, like Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), is an equal opportunities employer that employs players from different regions in the country, thus spreading the tax message through a multi-diverse culture.“

The club further targets to have their players pursue white-collar-jobs in future after retirement, and a plan is in line to achieve it, as Munaaba adds.

“We chose a sustainability model, where we employ mainly learned or players who are studying, and also a selection of players from the slums or unstable homesteads, who will be future responsible citizens that will develop the nation.”

With full support from the mother body URA and partners such as St Catherine Hospital, Hema Water, Hormsdalen Primary School, Gayaza, etc., this business plan will elevate the club’s vision and mission to the next level.
