The stage is set for the 2025 Stanbic Uganda Cup Final as KCCA FC and Vipers SC lock horns in what is expected to be an electrifying clash at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba this Saturday.

Both sides, rich in history and silverware, have navigated a tough route to the final and now stand just 90 minutes away from adding another prestigious trophy to their cabinets. The Uganda Cup remains one of the country’s most coveted titles, and this year’s final promises all the hallmarks of a classic.

Vipers SC, looking to cap their campaign with a second trophy, come into the match with confidence and determination. Their Coach Fred Muhumuza emphasised the importance of preparation and respect for the occasion.

“It’s not going to be an easy championship and we are trying to prepare well,” said the Vipers SC coach. “We’re managing the fatigue levels of the boys, but they are responding very well.

It’s the last game of the campaign and we don’t take it lightly. It’s a final and we want to be there on a Saturday and win another trophy.

We know the Uganda Cup is one of the most prestigious championships in Uganda and we are not taking it lightly, so we are going to come out, pull out and try and win on Saturday.

We are back and working harder to see that we win.”

Their captain Milton Karisa echoed the sentiment, highlighting the pride and passion within the team.

“We as players, we are prepared. We know this is a different championship and we are ready to always die for the badge, to die for the team because we know many people sacrifice a lot of their time, their money and everything to come — and we’ll just play.”

Meanwhile, KCCA FC are equally focused and hungry for victory. Their coach struck a confident tone ahead of the final. The Head Coach Jackson Magera Confirmed.

“KCCA FC is well prepared for the game on Saturday with Vipers SC. We are not going there to watch but going to perform and get victorious. We think this is the moment to get the silverware.”

KCCA’s captain Julius Poloto emphasised the mental and physical preparation of the team heading into the decisive fixture.

“We have been preparing for the final very well. We are ready and we know the magnitude of the game and the boys have it in mind.”
