A tragic road crash occurred Sunday morning along the Entebbe-Kampala Road, claiming the life of Isaac Ddumba, a former worker of New Vision.

The accident happened at approximately 6:00 AM at the Kyelima Hard Warehouse turning point (Bata Bata) and involved a Toyota Prado TX (CGO 9207AF 19).

According to preliminary police investigations, the driver, traveling from Entebbe, lost control of the vehicle and struck Isaac Ddumba, who was standing by the roadside. The impact dragged him into a drainage channel filled with water, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

Police have since transported the victim’s body to Mulago City Mortuary for post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, the vehicle involved has been towed to Namasuba Police Station as investigations continue.

Authorities are actively searching for the driver responsible for the crash, urging anyone with information to assist in the ongoing investigation.

The Uganda Police Force has reiterated its commitment to road safety and called for vigilance among motorists and pedestrians to prevent further tragedies.
