Uganda Tourism Board Seeks New Chief Executive Officer

The Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) is looking for a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the UTB and promoting tourism in Uganda.

The UTB is a statutory body established under the Tourism Act, 2008. It is responsible for promoting tourism in Uganda, both domestically and internationally. The UTB also works with the Ministry responsible for Tourism and the private sector to implement the National Tourism Policy.

The CEO position is a full-time position with a salary scale of T1. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism, Economics, Law, Social Sciences, Statistics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field from a recognized university/institution.

A Master’s degree in any of the following fields: Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Law, and Public Policy or related fields obtained from a recognized university/institution is preferred.

Interested candidates should submit their applications with detailed CVs, copies of all academic certificates and transcripts, testimonials, evidence of past and current appointments, a copy of their National Identity Card, and contact details of three competent referees.

Applications can be submitted by email to [email protected] or by courier/hand delivery to the UTB Headquarters at Plot 42, Rotary Avenue (Lugogo Bypass), 6th Floor Lugogo House, P.O. Box 7211 Kampala, Uganda. The deadline for applications is January 27, 2025.
