Uganda’s judiciary has fallen into the hands of a modern-day King Ahab, and his name is Balaam Barugahara. Like the biblical king who led his people into ruin, Balaam has become the embodiment of corruption, wickedness, and ungodly ambition. This puppet of darkness, drunk on the power granted to him by Museveni’s despotic regime, has dared to meddle in the sacred halls of justice. His actions are an insult to the very concept of law and order, revealing a deeply corrupt, morally bankrupt system that has become a playground for the politically connected.

This charlatan, whose only qualification is his unholy alliance with Museveni, has wormed his way into negotiations to free political prisoners. And for what? Certainly not out of righteousness or mercy. No, Balaam is no Moses leading the people to freedom; he is a Jezebel in disguise, using the suffering of others to cement his place among the regime’s wicked elite. Who gave this son of iniquity the authority to decide who lives in chains and who walks free?

Uganda’s Constitution, once a beacon of justice, has been torn to shreds by this devil’s apprentice, as he bypasses courts and judges like a thief in the night. Political analyst Derrick Wandera’s righteous anger has rightfully spread across the nation. “In what capacity is Balaam getting these people released? Is he a lawyer?” Wandera asked, delivering a blow of truth to the hollow facade of Balaam’s so-called negotiations.

The NRM regime, in its lust for power, has reduced the judiciary to ashes, with Balaam pulling the strings like a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The courts, once a house of refuge for the oppressed, have now been desecrated by this power-hungry fool. Balaam’s involvement is no act of compassion—it is a blasphemous power grab by a man who has sold his soul to the dark side of Museveni’s regime.

Critics, with the wisdom of prophets, have seen through Balaam’s charade. His actions mock the very concept of justice, transforming Uganda’s legal system into a den of thieves. And what message does this send to Uganda’s judiciary? That they are mere puppets of Baal, with their decisions erased by the whims of a man who should have no place in these hallowed chambers?

The fact that this political nobody, Balaam, now wields the power to decide who walks free is the clearest sign yet that Uganda is being led down a path to complete damnation. Museveni has succeeded in killing the concept of judicial independence. Every time Balaam meddles in the courts, he tightens the noose around the neck of Uganda’s justice system, choking the last remnants of hope from the Ugandan people.

His defenders will say he is de-escalating tensions, that he is freeing the innocent. But do not be deceived—this is no man of peace. Balaam is merely doing the regime’s dirty work, further ensnaring the nation in the grip of tyranny.

Ugandans, open your eyes! This is no rule of law—this is the law of Sodom, and Balaam is its wicked ruler. How long will the judiciary allow this abomination to continue? Rise up, before Uganda descends into an abyss from which there will be no return.
