It’s sickening to witness the depths of depravity to which the bootlickers in the National Resistance Movement (NRM) will stoop, groveling at the feet of the man who has bled Uganda dry for nearly 40 years. On September 15, 2024, in Nansana West 1B along Kampala-Hoima Road, a twisted, grotesque gathering was held in honor of President Yoweri Museveni’s 80th birthday. Led by Charles Lwanga, the gutless Deputy Resident District Commissioner, this shameful celebration was nothing more than a glorification of a tyrant who has ruled Uganda like a demonic overlord since 1986. And if that wasn’t absurd enough, these mindless NRM loyalists begged for 40 more years of his rule! Can you imagine? Four more decades under a man whose hands are stained with the blood of countless Ugandans, whose greed and corruption have reduced this once-promising nation to a wasteland of misery.
Charles Lwanga, the shameless lapdog that he is, stood up and declared Museveni as the savior who brought “peace” to Uganda. Peace for who? Certainly not for the millions of Ugandans who have endured relentless poverty, corruption, and oppression under this dictator’s rule. Is it peace for the families of the opposition members who’ve been tortured, silenced, or killed? Or the peace of knowing that if you speak out, you might just vanish without a trace? Lwanga’s disgusting praise for this bloodthirsty tyrant is an insult to the millions of Ugandans who have suffered under Museveni’s so-called “peace.” The audacity of it is staggering, but it’s nothing more than a desperate attempt to stay in the good graces of the ruling elite while the rest of the country is left to rot.
Even more grotesque is the nauseating praise from Mr. Ian Kyeyune, another NRM lapdog, who had the nerve to call Museveni a “visionary leader.” What vision could this monster possibly have, other than clinging to power for as long as his feeble body will allow? His vision is one of repression, corruption, and exploitation. This is a man who has spent decades enriching himself and his cronies while ordinary Ugandans starve. Under Museveni’s “vision,” freedom of speech is a distant memory, opposition leaders are hunted down like animals, and corruption has become the lifeblood of this rotting regime. Kyeyune and his ilk aren’t just blind to the reality of Museveni’s reign—they’re complicit in it, feeding off the scraps of the dictator’s table while the rest of Uganda suffers.
The sycophants didn’t stop there. They had the unmitigated gall to invoke God, claiming that Museveni was “anointed” to rule this nation. Anointed? Museveni is no more anointed than the devil himself. If anything, this man is the living embodiment of evil, a curse upon Uganda that has festered and spread like a disease since he took power. The claim that Museveni has brought democracy to Uganda is nothing short of laughable. Parliament is nothing but a puppet show, filled with opposition members who are allowed to exist solely as window dressing for this dictatorship. They have no power, no voice—only the illusion of democracy, carefully crafted to fool the world into thinking that Uganda is anything other than a one-man, one-family dictatorship.
Tracy Kiguli, the NRM chairperson for Nansana West 1B, echoed the insane calls for Museveni to rule for another 40 years, showing just how deeply the poison of this regime has spread. Brainwashed by decades of lies, these people are so deluded that they actually believe Museveni is the solution to Uganda’s problems, when in reality, he is the very source of them. Kiguli, like the rest of the NRM parasites, talked about poverty alleviation programs, ghetto funds, and crime reduction. But where is the evidence? The only poverty that has been alleviated is within the pockets of corrupt officials. Crime reduction? How can you reduce crime when the biggest criminals are sitting in State House?
Meanwhile, as the clueless NRM loyalists in Nansana were celebrating their master’s birthday, the main event was happening in Nakaseke District, another stronghold where Museveni’s tyranny is worshipped like a false god. The people there, too, have been lulled into submission by fear, complacency, and the lies they’ve been spoon-fed for decades. These calls for 40 more years of Museveni’s rule should terrify every Ugandan. It’s not just absurd—it’s a death sentence for the country. Forty more years of corruption, repression, and the complete annihilation of any hope for a better future.
How much longer will Ugandans tolerate this devil in State House? How many more lives must be destroyed before the people wake up and realize that Museveni’s reign is nothing but a curse upon this nation? He is not our savior—he is our executioner, and if we allow him to continue, Uganda’s future will be buried alongside the countless lives he has already taken.
