The escalating feud between General Muhoozi Kainerugaba and Odrek Rwabwogo reveals the rotten core of a self-serving elite that has long manipulated Uganda’s political landscape for personal gain. Rwabwogo, hailed by his ‘disciples’ as some sort of savior, is nothing more than a parasite feeding off the hard-earned resources of Ugandans. His brazen audacity to accuse General Muhoozi of envy is a desperate attempt to mask his own insatiable greed and the deceitful empire he’s built on lies and corruption.
Rwabwogo has cunningly crafted an image of himself as a man of the people, a façade that has now crumbled to dust under the weight of his hypocrisy. The sheer gall to label Muhoozi—a man who has served this nation with distinction—as a coward, is not just laughable but insulting to every Ugandan who has seen through Rwabwogo’s charade. His ‘disciples,’ nothing more than sycophants and opportunists, have the nerve to project their master’s sins onto others, hoping to distract the public from the glaring truth: Rwabwogo is the “biggest thief” Uganda has ever known.
The Patriotic League of Uganda’s (PLU) response was as expected, forthright and justified. When faced with lies as blatant as those peddled by Rwabwogo’s cronies, it is only right to push back with the full force of truth. Their statement was clear—Rwabwogo’s claims are “inherently inaccurate, wholly unfounded and are lacking in content.” This is a polite way of saying what most Ugandans are already thinking: Rwabwogo’s accusations are nothing but the desperate squeals of a cornered rat.
Rwabwogo’s political maneuvering is nothing more than a thinly veiled power grab, driven by a twisted sense of entitlement. He has always seen himself as the rightful heir to Uganda’s leadership, and his relentless ambition knows no bounds. In his delusion, he believes that he can climb to power by tearing down those who genuinely care for this country, like General Muhoozi.
The public should indeed shun Rwabwogo and his toxic narrative with the utmost contempt. His attempts to tarnish Muhoozi’s character are pathetic and reveal more about his own flaws than anything else. This is not just a feud between two powerful men; it is a battle for the soul of Uganda. We must stand with General Muhoozi, a man who has dedicated his life to this nation, against a snake like Rwabwogo, who has only ever sought to enrich himself at our expense. The PLU’s call to action is a rallying cry for all Ugandans who want to see the back of corrupt figures like Rwabwogo.
