KAMPALA- 27th/06/2024: In July, Kampala food-lovers are in for a culinary treat as the Pearl Guide, a tourism promotion company, and FlexiPay, will be organizing the Kampala Restaurant Week featuring discounts at 30 eating places across the city.

After a lengthy break in the aftermath of the Covid-19 outbreak, this dining adventure is making a comeback on the social calendar.

This year’s edition takes place between July 4th and July 14, involving an array of Kampala’s newest and most popular eateries notable for offering exceptional dining experiences.

The participating restaurants are providing up to 20% discounts on selected meals. FlexiPay wallet users/customers will get a 10% instant cash-back when they pay with FlexiPay between 1pm-8pm, however this offer is applicable to only FlexiPay wallet users.

Jackie Abwol, the FlexiPay Head of Marketing at Stanbic Bank said, “We are honoured to be part of Kampala Restaurant Week. This time around, we are providing an experience in food. Who doesn’t want to have an experience in good food, really? Personally, I love food, so having an experience in food is something that we would love to partner with.”

She said, “We are leading with FlexiPay which is a digital solution that is provided by Stanbic Bank. It offers many advantages, especially greater convenience in payments, for individuals, you and me and also businesses”.

Isaac Fidel, the Project Manager for Kampala Restaurant Week said, “The return of Kampala Restaurant Week is to further highlight and showcase some of Kampala’s restaurants while also appreciating the different types of cuisines available here and the world at large. For our sponsors, we appreciate you greatly. To our partner participating restaurants, we greatly appreciate you as well.”

Participating establishments include Bush Pig, Golden Hill, Karveli, Molecule, Nawab’s Asian Bistro, Olives, Riders Acacia, Ruby, Savannah, Tamarai, Tapas, Alchemist, Aleph, The Local, The Maze, Patio Bella and the Terrace.

The signature dining restaurants are Aldea, Asian Fusion, Hanabi, Izumi, Khana Khazana, La Cabana, La Patisserie, La Terrasse (Sheraton), Sone Haven, the Hickory, Lawns, Yamasen and Yujo Izakaya.

Abwol said, “All the participating restaurants will be on-boarded on FlexiPay. Others are already our customers.
