In an intelligence-led operation, the Territorial Police at Central Police Station Kampala have successfully recovered several items of military and police wear.

The operation, which was conducted today at around 11:00 AM, led to the confiscation of the following items from shop no. 113B, Angel Plaza, Nabugabo Road: 571 pairs of assorted shoes, 1 pair of army-like uniform, 1 army jacket and 1 army mobile mattress.

The shop belongs to an individual identified only as Agrey.

The items were being sold illegally at the premises.

“This operation underscores our commitment to ensuring the security and safety of our community by preventing the unauthorized distribution of military and police attire. We commend the efforts of our officers and the intelligence team for their diligence and swift action,” said ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy Public Relations officer for Kampala Metropolitan Police.

He added: “Investigations are ongoing, and we urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.”
