Onenge and Opio attempted to hack to death their mother over adultery

Police in Bukedea are hunting for two runaway brothers; Andrew Onenge and Ivan Opio after they attempted to hack their mother for allegedly cheating on their father.

Onenge and Opio, both residents of Akaramai village in Bukedea district in eastern Uganda, allegedly attempted to murder their mother, Asikeit Melidah, after she invited her boyfriend, Joseph Omerikol into their father’s marital bed.

Their father, Isaac Ogwang, is a teacher, who is always stationed at his workplace. The facts gathered indicate that the two siblings returned home on Wednesday last week at around 10 pm, and found their mother and Omerikol already sleeping in their father’s house, which angered them.

They allegedly picked up pangas and attacked their mother and Omerikol, critically injuring them. The two victims were rushed to Bukedea health centre IV for treatment.
