ARUSHA, Tanzania | Xinhua | More than 1,000 delegates are set to participate in the 11th East African Petroleum Conference and Exhibition 2025, which will be hosted by Tanzania from March 5-7, 2025, according to organizers of the conference.

The conference will be organized by the East African Community (EAC) secretariat and member states, as stated by the EAC in a recent announcement. The event aims to showcase the region’s petroleum potential and investment opportunities.

“We urge all member states to collaborate with Tanzania in the planning process to ensure the success of the conference,” stated James Mataragio, Tanzania’s deputy permanent secretary in the Ministry of Energy.

The statement further highlights the significance of the petroleum conference over the past two decades, emphasizing its role as a crucial platform for dialogue among governments and industry players worldwide. Since its inception in 2003, the conference has played a pivotal role in raising awareness of the region’s petroleum potential and technological advancements.

Member states of the EAC, a regional intergovernmental organization, include Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Uganda, and Tanzania.
