Police in Luwero district are currently on the hunt for a man who allegedly fatally tortured his 15-year-old employee, accusing him of stealing Shs 150,000 in cash.
The incident occurred on Saturday around 2 pm in Kiyenje village, Luwero town council. The victim, identified as Patrick Kibirige, hailed from Kito-Nakikoota in Luwero town council.
The sought-after suspect is Kiwanuka Senkumba, also known as Kiwa, who works as an outside caterer at various events. According to Sam Twiineamazima, Savannah Regional police spokesperson, the suspect purportedly beat the victim into a coma, ultimately resulting in his demise.
Following the incident, the suspect hastily transported the victim to Luwero hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Twiineamazima further stated that the suspect deceived the deceased’s mother, instructing her to attend to her supposedly ill son as he fled.
Upon receiving the report, the police promptly responded, filing charges of murder. Additionally, they visited Luwero hospital, recovering several pieces of evidence from the scene as the search for the suspect continued.
