Daniel Bbosa: Head of Buganda’s Ndiga Clan shot dead by assailants riding on boda boda

The Natete Territorial Police has documented a tragic murder by shooting incident that transpired at 6 pm on Sunday in Kikandwa Zone, Lungujja Parish, Lubaga Division.

The victim, Mr. Daniel Bbosa, the revered head of Ndiga Clan and director of Transa Electrical, was fatally shot by unidentified assailants as he approached his residence. Riding on a motorcycle, the assailants opened fire at Mr. Bbosa’s vehicle, with registration number UAH 637X, leading to his immediate demise.

Amid the attack, a courageous local resident intervened, toppling the assailants’ motorcycle and alerting the community. Subsequently, community members mobilized swiftly, confronting the assailants. The situation escalated into mob action, resulting in the death of one assailant at the scene, while the other remains in critical condition.

Deputy Police Spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police, Luke Owoyesigyire, stated, “The motive behind this senseless act of violence remains unknown, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.” He also announced the recovery of the firearm allegedly used in the murder, alongside the motorcycle with registration number UEX 754E employed by the assailants. These findings are expected to play a vital role in the ongoing investigation.
