Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | To commemorate the International Day for Women and Girls in Science, Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU) celebrated the accomplishments of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM). The company recognized the leading women involved in its Women in Leadership program on February 13.

Catherine Gita, CCBU People, and Culture Director commented on the program, emphasizing its goal of supporting talented women in growing into leadership roles through training and assistance. Gita stated, “As an organization grounded in innovation and driven by a commitment to sustainability, CCBU recognizes the crucial role that women play in shaping the future of STEM and is actively addressing this imbalance through various initiatives.”

CCBU highlighted that through their achievements, the women in STEM from the organization embody innovation, resilience, and empowerment.
