Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba waves to the gathering during the giveaway of Gen. Kale’s daughter.

The former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Gen. Rtd. Edward Kale Kayihura, has described the Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, as a great friend and an able individual with the capacity to lead Uganda.

Kaihura made the comments at the giveaway of his daughter Tesi Uwibambe to the son of former Inspector General of Police of Rwanda, Brig. Gen. Emmanuel Gasana. The function happened on Saturday at Gen. Kayihura’s home in Nyakabande, Kisoro district.

Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba and his wife, Charlotte, were in attendance.

In his speech, Gen Muhoozi thanked the people of Kisoro and Rwanda for massively attending his friend’s party. He described Kayihura as a great friend.

Abel Bizimana, the LC 5 Chairperson for Kisoro District, told the gathering Uganda’s hope was only in Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba. He rallied the people of Kisoro to back the four-star general.

Dr Chris Baryomunsi, the Minister of ICT and National Guidance, Sarah Mateke, the Minister of State for Children and Youth Affairs, Principal Judge Justice Flavian Zeija and several high-ranking government and army officers attended the function.
