Andrew Mwenda rightfully pointed out the glaring contradiction—being a mercenary is illegal in Europe, but somehow these Romanian war dogs found themselves in the DRC, fully armed, under UN cover. Image maybe subject to copyright.

The latest revelation that M23 rebels provided safe passage to 288 Romanian mercenaries in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) should shatter any remaining illusions about Western double standards. The same nations that scream about human rights, democracy, and international law are the very ones deploying bloodthirsty mercenaries to fuel endless wars in Africa. These aren’t peacekeepers—they are foreign killers sent to maintain chaos while their Western masters plunder resources under the guise of “security operations.”

Let’s call it what it is: pure, unfiltered, Western-sponsored terrorism. The Europeans pretend to be shocked when African nations dare to stand up for themselves, yet they have no problem exporting their mercenaries to slaughter innocent civilians in the name of “peacekeeping.” Andrew Mwenda rightfully pointed out the glaring contradiction—being a mercenary is illegal in Europe, but somehow these Romanian war dogs found themselves in the DRC, fully armed, under UN cover. The moment M23 let them go, they suddenly transformed into innocent “fighters needing evacuation.” What a joke!

And where’s the outrage? Where are the Western human rights organizations? Silent. Because when Western-backed forces murder, rape, and loot in Africa, it’s “strategic intervention.” But the moment M23 resists, it’s labeled a terrorist group. The same UN, which pretends to mediate peace, has been caught red-handed shielding mercenaries and smuggling them out through Kigali. The United Nations Mission in the DRC (MONUSCO) is nothing more than a tool for Western interests, a bloated, ineffective circus that allows European and American-backed criminals to operate freely.

The bigger question is: Will Europe prosecute these Romanian mercenaries when they return home? Absolutely not. They will be quietly reintegrated, maybe even sent to another African battlefield. The West is allergic to accountability. They manufacture wars, destabilize regions, then parade around as saviors when it’s time to clean up their own mess.

M23 might not be saints, but at least they’re honest about their fight. Unlike the West, which thrives on deception, they didn’t kill the mercenaries. They exposed them. And in doing so, they’ve once again unmasked the disgusting, two-faced nature of international politics—where African blood is cheap, but Western crimes are ignored.
