The principle of pluralism is at the essence of democracy, and this means acceptance of diversity and different points of view.

Mutual respect and tolerance – I can not stress this enough. We do not have to agree but we should respect other people’s opinions.

We must not discriminate against others or judge them unfairly just because they are different or have a different opinion.

In democracies that practice tolerance, people live in diversity and harmony, irrespective of their cultural, religious, political, and other differences.

Freedom of religion is equally important, especially because all religions are built on similar values: peace, understanding, the sanctity of life, respect for each other, the need for justice, and moral values. Religious beliefs give us hope and consolation, and we should be tolerant and not discriminate against religious denominations different from our own.
