UPDF And Global Security Service Group To Strengthen Training Ties

Maj Gen Jack Bakasumba, Chief of Joint Staff (CJS), received a courtesy call from H.E Mohammad Hamdan Alzaabi, Chief Executive Officer of Global Security Service Group (GSSG), at the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs (MODVA) Headquarters in Mbuya.

Maj Gen Bakasumba praised the strong bilateral relations between Uganda and the United Arab Emirates, expressing gratitude to the GSSG for supporting the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF), particularly in training that has enhanced the Forces’ capabilities.

H.E Mohammad Hamdan commended the UPDF’s efforts in stabilising the region, stating that he is in Uganda to harmonise the training of regional personnel to achieve peace and stability in the region.

Also present at the meeting were Brig Gen Alex Olupot, Joint Staff – Training and Doctrine; Brig Gen Fred Twinamatsiko, Director Training; and senior officers.
