Police divert traffic to Namugongo ahead of Martyrs’ Day

Today security agencies had an onsite meeting at Anglican worship center to plan for 3 Jun 24 security and resolved that starting tonight the road from Kyaliwajjala to Sonde be reserved for pedestrians only.

All Motorists will be diverted as follows;

1 Motorists using Seeta – Sonde Road will be diverted at Catholic Mbalwa Road junction and they will come out at Agenda 2000.

2. Motorists from Nalya to Kyaliwajjala will be diverted at Kyaliwajjala junction and they will use Semambro Road.

3. Motorists from Kireka to Kyaliwajjala will be diverted at Agenda 2000 and they will use Mbalwa Road.

4. Motorists from Jinja heading to the Capital City should drive directly to the City centre they should NOT use Seeta – Namugongo Road.

5. The diversion will be in place up to 3 Jun 24.

Plan your journey early as we expect traffic jams around Namugongo.

“We apologise for any inconveniences caused by these diversions,” said SSP Patrick Onyango, PRO KMP.
