Concept Real Estate, a leading player in the real estate sector, has officially announced the commencement of the highly anticipated fourth edition of the Concept Kickstarter Conference. This event is scheduled to unfold on March 29-30, 2024, at the Westin Waltham Boston Hotel.

The Soft Launch, a prelude to the main event, took place at the Latitude 0 Hotel in Kampala and drew the presence of influential figures in the real estate industry. Among the attendees were experts, innovators, and business leaders. This exclusive gathering was strategically designed to offer a sneak peek into the extraordinary investment prospects that the forthcoming conference is poised to deliver.

Brian Kayongo, Group Director of B&L Ventures and CEO of Concept Real Estate, expressed, “The Concept Kickstarter Conference goes beyond being a mere prelude to the official launch. It stands as a distinctive assembly crafted to enrich participants with insights, opportunities, and exclusive possibilities that have the potential to redefine and elevate their experiences, unlocking a future filled with promise.”

The theme for this year’s conference, “Business| Real Estate| Innovation,” underscores a dedicated focus on unlocking future opportunities in business, real estate, and innovation. The overarching goal is to create generational wealth and contribute meaningfully to the community.

Newtown Karera, Business Director of B&L Ventures and Managing Director of Concept Real Estate, emphasized the unique nature of the conference. He stated, “The conference is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for real estate investors interested in Africa or the diaspora. Whoever wants to own property, the Kickstarter Conference is a platform for us.”

Addressing legal aspects of real estate transactions, corporate and commercial lawyer Tommy Ogwang underscored the challenges. He highlighted the critical need for buyers to conduct comprehensive market research and legal due diligence to mitigate the risks of potential fraud.

Eng. Kenneth Kaijuka, Chief Executive Officer at the National Housing and Construction Company, emphasized the pivotal role of legal frameworks in attracting real estate investment. He noted, “Real Estate Investment is attracted by the nature of laws that govern it. Uganda didn’t have a law that would bring together real estate business stakeholders.”

Kaijuka further shared positive developments, stating, “The Real Estate Law has now been crafted by the Government of Uganda in collaboration with influential figures in the real estate world, and we hope by June, it will be in place to facilitate investment and business in real estate.”
