Gov’t to spend 1.5Bn shs on handicraft development centers

The Ministry of Tourism says construction of 3 major Handicraft development centres across the country is expected to start in the new Financial Year 2021/2022. With an estimated cost of 1.5billion Shillings for each of the centres, the 1st will be located near Murchison Falls National Park. It will provide machinery and equipment needed to support high-grade production of art and craft pieces. Doreen Katusiime, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, says the centers will support high innovation and standardization of Uganda’s craft pieces in the local, regional and internationally competitive market. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
