Kenya blocks bus transport to Uganda over spike in COVID-19 infections
With Kenya now going through a spike in COVID-19 cases, also known as a second wave of the pandemic, Nairobi has reimposed tight road transport restrictions to and from Uganda. A visit to the border crossing at Busia on Tuesday, showed that Kenya has halted the movement of interstate buses across the border from Nairobi to Kampala. This follows a lockdown imposed last week, following a spike in cases of Covid-19 across five counties in Kenya. These include Nairobi, Nakuru, Machakos, Kajiado and Kiambu, destinations frequented by regular travellers between Uganda and Kenya. The stoppage of the interstate buses has left many travellers stranded and businesses affected. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
