This post is for Ugandans who are looking for jobs in the Middle East. The FIFA World Cup in Qatar provides great opportunities. You saw earlier, a story I shared, written by AL JAZEERA (Qatar government media house) about Qatar implementing a minimum wage of USD $275/mth. Effective immediately. The AL JAZEERA article mentioned something like with Doha hosting the World Cup, there has been pressure to set a minimum wage.
Now, what I have been looking for are what kind of jobs are coming up or for which Qatar government or companies are hiring.
Anyway, I got tired from reading and reading and then reading. So, here is a link to help you get started. The jobs are on all social platforms like Linkedin, Indeed, Workopolis, Beacon AND nabalala nabalala. I am sharing the link for INDEED only because I recently created a profile on it so I need followers. Please do the needful. The name, as usual is MARTHA LEAH NANGALAMA. Mwanyala naabi.
So, if you are too lazy to read, please contact my friend. I mentioned his name earlier. However, if you can read, you should go to the link directly and file your application.
You will probably need a CV and profile or some useless things. You create an account. Create a profile. Upload your CV. If you need help with these things, please contact Kato Isa. I do not work with UPE drop outs. Thanks for understanding. MLN
👆👆The problem with that post is I did not include very important information. I will not add it. What happens is these world games are to show off one’s country. So, countries want you to apply now. Not in 2022. Now, the companies which will provide products and service at this World Cup, it is a chance to showcase their company. Consequently, they will not hire next year.
They need to verify the service providers, employers, service quality, …. So, companies hire many many months, if not years, before the World Cup takes place. Ugandans want to wait till January 1, 2021…. to apply. By the way, Thierry was one of the Executive Chefs for the last Common Wealth Games in Canada. And I know what I am talking about. I have kids with him. The training for his then employer at that time was not a joke. They started very early. MLN
