THE TRUTH ABOUT THE SO CALLED ARMOURED VEHICLE
SOCIAL media platforms have been shaking with talks that the NUP President/Former Presidential Candidate in the 2021 polls Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has acquired a brand-new bullet-proof vehicle, courtesy of friends, well-wishers and supporters in and those in the diaspora.
This article is meant to shed more lights (factual truths) on the monster, which are not within the public domain.
According to impeccable sources who talked to this investigative journalist, the vehicle entered from the Busia border post on 5 November,2020 registered under license plates KCY 550X logbook number K3323207K in the names of Mr. Fauz Khalid, a Kenyan national).
It was issued a C32 for a temporary import (Ref 3).
Sources also reveal that Fauz Khalid on 8 January,2021 through his agent Sabiti Abel the director of Real Time Global Cargo Handlers Uganda Ltd (a licensed clearing firm requested registration of the same unit (vehicle0 in Uganda using Help Tool Ref 210126637.
Thereafter, depositing the unit at the Customs Warehouse under cargo receipt 319315 on 11 January,2021-ref 4.
This request was granted on 12 January,2021(ref5). A verification of the unit was done on the same date stated above confirming the details on the documents and the physical unit.
The same unit(vehicle) had been verified by the Directorate of Interpol and International Relations.
After payment of the taxes assessed (88,612,027UGX) on entry number C54CWH, authoritative sources say the unit was released to Fauz Khalid who has a Uganda TIN 1013230042 with license number UBJ 667F.
After these, Fauz Khalid (1013230042) applied to change ownership on 18 February,2021 to Robert Kyagulanyi 1000884203 which was approved by the licensing officer.
The unit(vehicle)was first registered in Kenya as KCY550X as a normal land cruiser.
Uganda Interpol gave a certificate of verification ref WT/C/)22/VOL XV/77 dated 6 January,2021 detailing the unit as a normal motor vehicle not armored OR bullet proof as some people want Ugandans and the world to believe.
