Katakwi elders share in 23 billion kitty
The elderly persons in Katakwi district want the government to increase the amount of money paid to them through the senior citizens grant from the current 25,000/- to at least 100,000/- shillings. According to the elderly, the money they receive currently can’t satisfy all their desires especially basic needs which include health. They raised their request through a petition that they presented to the state minister for the elderly and disabled Sarah Kanyike.
