UGANDA: Politics of impovershment
Always support the ruling regime however ugly it may seem to be.
Better the devil you know!
Wiping the Kampala regime off the political stage is not going to be an easy task.
It has deeply rooted its relevancy to the populace mostly the very rural, illiterate and poor folks.
Then one wonders why it is mostly the rich and literate suburban folks that hate the regime the most.
Here are some of the answers:
1. Most of the literate graduate but unemployed youths have no gainful employment. Remember most parents and guardians to these children paid dearly for their children’s education. Some sold animals and several pieces of land with the hopes of securing happiness through their sons’ and daughters’ education only to be disappointed.
2. When we lack what to do in terms of gainful employment most especially after that long and painful struggle through the Nursery, Primary, Secondary and whichever level of education and training, we shift our anger to the Government.
3. When the Government roads, schools and hospitals are in a sorry state but the President continues to drive in a convoy of forty something cars, we get disappointed.
