Apaa land meeting deadlocked as Amuru, Adjumani leaders clash

A meeting to seek solutions to the conflict over land in Apaa parish in northern Uganda has been adjourned to 14th September as one team needs more time to consult. The Acholi in Amuru district and Madi in Adjumani, both claim ownership of the land which has been the cause of clashes between the two ethnic communities. The Prime Minister of Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda mediated the talks.
