UGANDA: Nationals working and living in Dubai reporting health problems
Some Ugandans living and working in Dubai have reported severe headaches lasting for many weeks, even now up to 3 months. I advise all Ugandans experiencing these symptoms to verify that their medical insurance is current and valid. I also advise anyone experiencing these symptoms to immediately seek medical help because persistent headaches have many causes most of which are very severe.
We are in receipt of a death report of a young man who died yesterday in Dubai. He died on the job. He had been sick for a while but hesitated to go see a doctor saying that it was because his employer needed him and there was no replacement so he preferred to work till death.

There is a Ugandan in security Abu Dhabi who worked for six months without leave by choice on supervision by government regulatory body company was fined 10k AED.
Insurance is mandatory in UAE so access to medical care is guaranteed which kind of supervisor can really deploy me when sick with doctors recommendation for a sick leave?
Approximately a security guard in Abu Dhabi earns 3000AED to 3200AED without off in a month and at least 2800AED with off. Many will prefer working without off. Whoever sent me for money should change in the terms I need to rest.
For those working with well established companies like securiguard, G4s, star and Transguard are safe with enough man power but others one is meant to work over time to cover up and health complications have been reported especially with the limbs.
I think fighting for your rights begins with you. I would rather abscond from duty than die there besides better I loose the job than life.

That is a very stupid question for that person to ask. A company, of this I am sure, ensures they hire healthy people. So a medical will be done at hiring. You are then responsible for your own health afterwards.
Says the young man was sick but decided to remain on the job because he was needed.
1) You are just a number in an organisation chart. You are called by an Employee ID.
2) A chart has boxes. Each has a role or skills.
3) In each little box, we slot in a name. Any name. Because we have a skill set. Anytime we fire you or you drop dead, we slot in another person by calling our agent to send us a warm body that has that skill. You are replaceable without any effort at all.
4) Think twice before you die on the job.

I have friends who work 12hrs a day. They get 1 day off every 3 months.
Friends who work 12hrs a day. They get 2 days off every 6mths.
Friends who work 12hrs a day. They get 1 day off per week.
Friends who work 10hrs a day, they get 2 days off a week.
This last category also earns the most.
MIND YOU, IN CANADA, NO EMPLOYER CAN BREAK THE LAW OF PAYING LESS THAN MINIMUM WAGE OR NOT PAYING OVERTIME SO NO ONE CAN WORK FOR MORE THAN 44 HOURS PER WEEK WITHOUT OT PAY (Time multiply by 1.5) whether immigrant worker or citizen.
