UGANDA: Naro boss Agona arrested fleeing the country

KAMPALA (@UG_EDGE) – Airport police has arrested Dr Ambrose Agona, the Director General of the National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO).
Dr Agona was arrested at Entebbe airport as he attempted to fly out of the country.
He was then handed over to the land probe committee chaired by Justice Catherine Bamugemereire.
He is accused of refusing to vacate land owned by the Uganda Christian University (UCU) in Mukono.
The 649-acre land is located at Ntawo-Muzingo Village in Mukono Municipality is part of the Church of Uganda land under the Uganda Christian University Holdings.
