World Vision Uganda is a Christian Relief, Development and Advocacy Non-Government Organization dedicated
to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. We currently work in over
70 districts in Uganda implementing projects in Health and Nutrition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
Livelihoods and Community Resilience, Education and Child Protection. World Vision is committed to the

World Vision is seeking for qualified and passionate individuals willing to share in our vision to join the REAP project that will
be working in Yumbe District.
Title: Teacher (Accelerate Learning Program) -44 positions
Reporting to: Child Protection and Education Officer
The Accelerated learning program teacher will teach according to the centre schedule, prepare schemes of work and conduct
student assessments. In addition they will identify and report child protection related issues. The teachers will provide
administrative support and coordinate activities as requested. They will also work with communities to encourage enrolment of
girls and suggest strategies to World Vision on how to improve Girls’ Enrolment.
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
A certificate in Primary Teachers Education (Qualified Grade III Teachers)
Excellent written and spoken English.
Experience of working with communities and participation of children.
Knowledge of Accelerated Learning Program is desirable
Ability to speak any of the local host community or refugee community Language will be an added advantage
Willingness to work within our Christian values and with people from different religious denominations
Must be ready to work in a multi-cultural environment
Knowledge on implementation of child friendly spaces, peace building, education in emergencies and psychosocial
Appropriate communication skills and approachable.
Must have no history of violation of children’s rights.
