UGANDA: Unemployed youth on social media don’t know how to use Internet
The majority of Uganda youth on social media have never owned a computer. They use phones.
Most use Social Bundles which I understand don’t allow them to open links.
But the way they comment on posts which require opening links.
The problem is compounded with Stupidity.
One time I posted a link to Canadian Universities. Please read the link on a computer as the site does not load fully on phones.
A young lady inboxes me “Canada doesn’t have my program. I wanted to apply for Nursing”.
1. She didn’t follow instructions. Read on a computer.
2. She is an Airhead. Which country does not have Nursing?
3. She was lazy. Wanted to study in Canada without putting in effort.
Dear youth, please buy gigs of data and use the Internet to find opportunities. Most legitimate offers on Social media require you to click on a link.
Social media links with no official website are 97.89% scams.
Here is the link to Canadian universities. Read on a computer. I am a Software Developer and I know we do not optimize all websites to load fully on phones.
