CSOs worried about rising public expenditure

As preparations for the 2021/2022 budget framework paper get under way, Civil society organizations have expressed worry over the rising public expenditure. According to the Civil Society Budget Advocacy Group, expenditure is expected to rise to 18.35 trillion shillings against a domestic revenue of 45.2 trillion which is also expected to drop by 116.5 billion. The CSOs have blamed this rising expenditure on poor public investment management, replication of government agencies that also require funds as well as increased borrowing. They now want government to reconsider its position on some of these issues if the country’s resources envelope is to be widened. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
