Kenyan youthful MP Babu Owino @HEBabuOwino is teaching online

After watching the live Fakebook teaching of Mathematics to his followers in Kenya, my life will never be the same.
I watched his review of KCSE (Uganda equivalent of UACE) and could not stop a bit. Babu is a born teacher. It has been a while since I wrote useless national exams and I even flanked Maths anyway.
However, the way he was teaching made me fall in love again with Mathematics. He was thorough. OMG, I had even forgotten about Vectors. He drew diagrams and explained the formulas. Today was a great day. I think he will soon be moving into Calculus. I love and breath Calculus. The thing with Maths is that if you have a bad teacher, you soon learn to hate Maths.
Mathematics is eternal. Humans can lie but Maths does not lie.
I am looking forward to watching Babu’s next lessons. “Without Maths, life is not worth living”.
NOW — as far as Uganda goes, their opposition leaders can neither read nor write. They cannot even teach. Imagine if Bobi Wine were to teach English, he would be a superstar. What Babu is doing in Kenya ought to awaken Bobi Wine up. Most of Bobi Wine’s followers are illiterate or lazy or school drop outs. How then can you say you want to become president? TEACH YOUR PEOPLE.
Education is the foundation for most everything. Why do you go into streets begging for food when you could use that time to TEACH. Teach us Maths. Teach us English. Teach us Basic Business Skills. Teach us what we can use when the regime falls. TEACH US. TEACH. Teaching is a noble profession. Politics in Africa is about stealing, looting and being a thug. Our children deserve better.
