FOOD: Ugandans know that banana flowers / blossoms are edible
In the past, I shared about foods eaten in other cultures that are not eaten in Uganda with links to some recipes:
1. Green pawpaw (papaya) can be cooked.
2. Cassava leaves are eaten in many parts of Africa.
3. Jackfruit / Fene can be cooked when it is green so you should not wait for Fene to ripen if your kids are hungry. https://ift.tt/2EJsCsj
Now here is the Banana Flower. You can find many recipes on the Internet. This is a highly prized vegetable in many Asian cultures.
Before you throw anything away, use Google to find out if you could eat.
