#CanadaDecides on October 21, 2019 – @HeBobiWine @MugishaMuntu @SejuDav
Tomorrow, we elect our next Prime Minister. How print and social media have contributed to our choice tomorrow.
Last week, MLN gets into a pickle. I commented on a CBC.CA article on Facebook. The post was something like “Obama says Canadians should vote for Trudeau”.
MLN comments “take him to frigging US of Africa. We are voting for Jagmeet NDP”.
Things fell apart. It was insane how we were debating and bashing each party with no care in the world. Here, no goons show up to arrest you for saying “Trudeau is a traitor”.
The mainstream parties were very vocal. Here comes a wonderful lady who tells me to vote GREEN for the future of our kids. Then it turns out that Jagmeet has already agreed to form a govt with the Trudeau. Her gentle nature convinced me that kesho I must vote NDP (Jagmeet).
Naturally, I did my own poll.
1. Tasha, who are you voting for? NDP.
2.Becks, who are you voting for? I wanna vote Green please let us vote Green. THEN Becks says this word I had never heard of. “Mom, Green is for GENTRIFICATION”. What does the word even mean?
In the end, I am voting NDP (Jagmeet) because two of my kids are voting NDP. One is voting for her first time (Natasha is now 18yrs old) and the other one is voting for her second time (Becks is 21yrs old).
If NDP turns out to be bad, I trust my kids because it is their future. Ugandans should consider listening to their kids for elections as it is their future.
Mazima, you look at someone 89yrs old saying he knows what is best for the youth. Seriously? Ani eyabaloga?
