This is a feel good story unlike my usual angry posts. My dearest sister Sharon just sent me photos I had lost over the years. Sharon is a super star.

One of our kids in our village did not want to go to her High School graduation for reasons only known to her. When I found out, I called her mom (she is like my Muzungu sister, bestest sister) “Whatca mean Becky is not gonna attend Prom? She is gonna go if we have to drag her there kicking and screaming”.

What followed, me also I do not remember.  But I remember telling them, “who needs a limo? I will be the driver and our Becky will go or else”.

NEVER DO WHAT I DID.

I picked up Becky from their home, then her friends all the way from Shediac to Moncton to go to Victoria Park to take grad photos. I went deaf for like 3mths.

These young, young people played Heavy Metal all the way to Moncton and all the way back. I do not remember my head hurting so much. I even went deaf and this was my first time and the last time I ever was a chauffeur and will never do it again.

They cranked up the music with heavy metal like AC/DC, Jon Bon Jovi, Def Leopard and a whole pile of them others. I had never been tortured this much since I had finished High School 25yrs before them. I was to totally lost for words. I popped many Aspirins later because I had just survived the biggest massive headache in all my life on earth. Have you guys listened to AC/DC? You should try it.

Never drive teens to a Prom or graduation unless you love Heavy Metal. You will die. You will die.

*** All my love Becky. Photos are courtesy of your mom Sharon who is a memory keeper.
