Education: Universities should keep off diplomas

NAIROBI (DAILY NATION) – Universities have been agonising over the past two years over dwindling enrolment precipitated by changes in the secondary school leaving examination, which saw a marked reduction of top grades. Fewer candidates managed the entry point. Last year, only 70,073 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates obtained grade C+ to qualify for university education, against a candidature of 611,952. CMI finds case clinic accountant’s car at Congolese home A car belonging to the murdered Francis Ekalugar, an employee of case clinic, was found in Kabowa, Rubaga division.
